Sabres FA plans and moves so far.
The Buffalo Sabres will not be trying to acquire a #1 Center this year as they drafted two potential ones this year in Zemgus Girgenson and Mikhail Grigorenko who both in my opinion will be on the roster in the next 2-3 years. The Sabres end the first day of FA with only one signing and that is of forward John Scott a 6 foot 9 fighter who now will allow the Sabres to not be pushed around by the Boston Bruins. This is a good transaction knowing we only spent 600,000 on the guy. Their have been talk that the Sabres are also interested in getting winger Bobby Ryan from the Anaheim Ducks but the Ducks reportedly want Ennis but the Sabres want to give them Roy. In my opinion giving them Ennis could be the right thing knowing the depth now you have at center because look their will be some problems anyway knowing that the Sabres are going to at least have Hodgson and Girgenson as the top 2 Centers then that leaves Ennis and Grigorenko but I think if you move Ennis back to wing it would work but right their why not give them Ennis for a better Winger in Bobby Ryan. Only time will tell wheter or not the Sabres make a large or quiet splash in the free agent market. Stay Tuned.
